Full Moon Ceremony :: Hunter's Moon

  • 4 Wellesley Place Toronto, ON, M4Y 2K4 Canada (map)

Overview

The Hunter’s Moon is a time of letting go and storing up for winter. Traditionally celebrated in Native American culture as a time when the field have been cut, harvest has been gathered, the deer are fattened, and a storing of sustenance for the winter takes place. Many animals could easily come into sight, as they came out to enjoy the fallen grains. Hunter’s Moon, also called the Blood Moon, is traditionally celebrated as a feast day amongst particular Native American tribes, and also as far as Western Europe.

In this full moon ceremony, we will discover personal truths to provide us with the sustenance and internal light for the dark winter. We will be specifically exploring the theme of “releasing doubt”. Letting go of the negative self-talk, that prevents us from receiving optimal nourishment in our lives.

Utilizing our most ancient tools to carry us through times of darkness…This full moon ceremony will weave together drums, dance, channeling and a gentle yoga flow into a beautiful evening of community healing and celebration.

As fall leaves gently drop from the trees, may we learn to drop the old patterns… and observe the beautiful changing colours of life as we transition into our new self.
