Are you choosing to become happier, gentler, wiser, older with anticipation of a beautiful journey ahead? Or are you worried that the only thing that might be next involves suffering?
Start to attune to where your attention flows. Is it flowing into the perception of how things are going only grow wonderfully in your life? Or the anticipation of worry?
Really dive into this.
Now, if there has been any part anticipating worry… we want you to write the kindest note, to reassure this part that change is possible, plausible even. We believe your fears can ease, because you are most certainly deserving of a life of wondrous possibility.
Now does this part [that was anticipating worry] resist? If yes, just allow the resistance that says “no, no, no, no no…. there must be struggle!” And just listen. And just listen. And just listen. And keep listening, and giving this part permission to feel, to resist, to express… until there is no more emotion left to resist with.
At this point, open your heart and say “there, there.” Invite this part to believe now to believe in the love that is there, through its access to the quality of security that your heart is offering it. And as this part of you feels reassurance and security, from your heart, see if it’s able to believe now concretely, that ease will of course lie ahead, for reassurance has been found.
